Position Chief Intelligence Officer
Second Position Science Officer
|Physical Description||a sexy, exotic woman with a thin, athletic, curvacious build. She wears her hair in two styles. The first of these is just long enough to cover her ears and neck. The second hairdo is long locks that hang well past her shoulders. She has a pierced belly button.
Her vocal range is very wide, considering she paid a great sum of latinum to have them genetically altered to provide a better quality of vocal and lyrics, a suggestion from her dear friend Bodi Heffa.
Tramp stamp: Romulan raptor symbol all the way across.
Left butt cheek: On the outside center of her left butt cheek, from bottom to top, four kitty paws as if a cat had walked up her bum.
Left thigh: A wrap around gothic rose and thorns, one inch in diameter, which includes the words in the Romulan language 'Akhiy Heith' (Black Cat), mixed into the thorns with Olde English script.
Special dispensation: Starfleet Command has allowed Taavis to wear the catsuits common to Vulcans. These come in various colors, but will always sport the patches, symbols and pins of Starfleet, in the same way Commander T'Pol wore hers back in the NX program.
|Sister(s)||Taavin, her twin. Taris, older half sister, full blood Rom. Venis (Venice) Same age half sister, full blood Rom. Isha, younger half sister, full blood Rom.|
|Other Family||a member of Family Tovan, by name as well as by genetics. Taavis bares the brand on her left shoulder for the Family, showing she is a member, even though she is not readily accepted.|
Personality & Traits
|General Overview||Taavis has a good heart, although her old soldier and Romulan attitudes sometimes get in the way of that. At first meeting, Taavis seems callous and sarcastically indifferent, but as she becomes accustomed to someone, she begins to trust and respect them. She is courageous, determined, passionate, and possesses an exceptional strength of character. All her life Taavis has displayed great leadership skills and charisma.|
|Strengths & Weaknesses||Taavis is a skilled and resourceful warrior who adapts to environments with a quick mind and resilience. She is agile and is quite skilled in the use of a bow and arrow, slugthrowers, and melee weapons.
Taavis is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant with abilities in several mixed martial arts, and her preferred Martial Art is the Wing Chun form of Earth Kung Fu. A form she found logical since its creator was a woman, wanting to gain an advantage over larger opponents, or more than one at a time. With her combined physique and her skill Taavis almost unstoppable once she gets rolling.
Taavis is a follower of Jarok, who attempted to reconcile Surak's logic with the undeniable truth of emotional existence; followers of Jarok seek to embrace, understand, and thus tame their emotions rather than fighting to repress them. Taavis also embraced her Romulan heritage, having infiltrated a Romulan crew in the Merchant Services and assumed a fake persona for several long months, learning what it meant to be a Romulan. She speaks both her native tongues fluently, all dialects.
As a Vulcan/Romulan hybrid serving in Starfleet, Taavis's physiology makes her, in many cases, stronger and more physically resilient than her counterparts. Unlike many traditional Vulcans, Taavis is not primarily a vegetarian but is open to exploring a variety of other foods and beverages. She enjoys chamomile and mint teas and experiments with Earth dishes, including pecan pie and Georgia peaches.
Taavis is considerably more emotional than many other Vulcans due to her Romulan lineage. After suffering an illness that had caused synaptic damage, Taavis was not able to control her emotional impulses as before, when she was a Vulcan in her bearing and logic. Now, her emotions are a part of her and she has readily accepted them.
She and her twin, Taavin, are almost exactly alike in every way, with Taavin being a little wilder. Taavis prefers to remain the calm one, but is not without her own ability to mete out her own form of justice when wronged.
While serving in Ministry of Security on Vulcan, completed training in reconnaisance and retrieval; immediately dispatched to apprehend several rogue Vulcan operatives, with mixed success. She and her twin, Taavin, were used in conjunction to fool those they pursued into believing that one or the other was very fast and versatile in their movements.
Her skill as a scientist is unquestioned, but working alongside irrational humans is an ongoing lesson in Vulcan patience. Although Vulcan, Taavis has shown that her allegiance is to the truth.
Taavis went further into her special operations duties in Starfleet, having been in Security, the Sciences, and the one-time Chief of the MP's on Gibralter. As a Vulcan her logical, scientific mind is always interested in all around her, but she rarely shows it anymore. As of late she has been struggling to regain more control over her emotions, trying to return to her more Vulcan veneer. She has had mixed success.
|Hobbies & Interests||She is a musician and singer, loving music like all her family, and her favorite instruments are the keyboards, drums and guitar of Earth; especially for rock bands.
Taavis, despite her musical lifestyle, is still a lover of quiet times and meditation to keep herself balanced and her mind in tune. Having served in Starfleet, she is well versed in military doctrine, weapons, and protocols.
